WHO WE ARE: Our Mission Our Vision Our Purpose
We Believe... The Bible is the complete revelation of the will of God for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority of all Christian faith and life. The Triune Godhead, one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The personality of Satan, called the devil, and his present control over unregenerate mankind. The fall and lost estate of man, whose total depravity makes necessary the new birth. The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where at the right hand of the Majesty on high, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age, to convict and regenerate man, guide and instruct the believer. His indwelling empowers the Christian to live a godly life. That man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost; only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation be obtained. That the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. Only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. Jesus commanded that the ordinance of water baptism and the Lord's Supper (Communion) be observed by the church. We believe immersion to be the mode of baptism to be followed. The true church, the Body or Bride of Christ, consists only of such persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated (born again) by the Holy Spirit and are united together under the headship of Christ. Only those who are thus members of the true church shall be eligible for membership in the local church. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the church and that the local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs. There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, for the former a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent, pre-millennial, and will be personal and visible. This is the believer's blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service. That Christ's commission to the church is to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. That the principle of love be used in all matters of doctrine and its interpretation. |
